Position:  Summer High School Program

Impact Statement:  Volunteer Opportunities across NSHA are as diverse as the volunteers themselves. There are over 7,000 dedicated and highly motivated people sharing talents, building skills, enhancing the patient and family experience and strengthening the community.

Volunteers will have the opportunity to interact with the public and engage in activities with patients and their families in a variety of program areas in a health care environment such as Garden Assistants, Recreation Program Assistants, Hospitality and Ambassador Volunteers to name a few.

Training Details:  General Hospital Orientation with Volunteer Services. A specific orientation and training will be provided by the Program Manager which will include an overview of the patient population, tour of the nursing unit and introductions to staff

Working Conditions:  active, engaging environment

Minimum Duration:  3 months or less

Timing:  Weekday - Daytime

Time Detail:  1 month either July Session (July 2, 2019 to July 26, 2019) OR August Session, (July 29, 2019 to August 21, 2019).
