Info Re: Return to in-school learning
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are very excited to be welcoming our students back for in-person learning tomorrow. As communicated by HRCE Regional Executive Director Mr. Elwin LeRoux, this decision is based on current epidemiology in the Halifax region and advice from Public Health and pediatricians at the IWK Health Centre. Dr. Strang has declared schools as safe places for staff and students and the HRCE will continue to follow Public Health guidelines as outlined in Nova Scotia's Back to School Plan.
Here is some information you need to know regarding your child's return to Dartmouth High School:
There will be no at-home/distance learning classes for students for the remainder of the school year.
Classroom teachers will not be responsible for providing at-home learning packages or instruction for students of families who have decided to keep their child(ren) home.
Dartmouth High School will continue to follow the same layered approach to safety as we have been all year regarding Public Health protocols. Details can be found here: https://novascotia.ca/coronavirus/education/#public-schools
School buses will resume their regular schedules for bus students.
Unless required for their final exam, all students are asked to return the Chromebook, power cord, and any textbooks and library books they have borrowed no later than Friday, June 18th.
Exams will be written the week of June 14th in-person from 8:30 - 10:00 am. Details will be shared in your child's teachers' Google Classrooms.
Please keep an eye on your email for any further updates.
Enjoy your evening,
