DARTMOUTH HIGH SCHOOL

Attention Spartans and Families - European Trip Meeting

Parents/Guardians of students in grades 10, 11, 12:

Our annual school trips were cancelled since the onset of the pandemic in 2020.   High Schools were given the greenlight to participate in out-of-country school trips again last spring, and with this in mind, I hinted in a communication home that we would consider a school trip for this year (2022-2023).   First and foremost, we apologize for the delayed follow-up.

Our annual out-of-country trips normally take place over the March Break each year and we would normally planned various fundraising activities with students and parents/guardians over a 12-month period to reduce the out-of-pocket costs of the trip.   After conversations with students and inquiries from parents, there is interest in having a school trip coming March Break. We consulted with our tour company, EF Tours and we are able to offer students the opportunity to visit Barcelona and Paris in March 2023.

We are pleased to offer students the opportunity to visit Spain and France, specifically Barcelona and Paris. Besides the educational and intercultural benefits associated with this trip, it would be a great opportunity for students to enhance their school experience after the events of the past 2 years, while building lasting memories and cementing lifelong friendships.

We are holding an info session on Thursday, October 06 at 7:30 p.m.  in the library at Dartmouth High to share detailed information about this trip with parents/guardians and students.  We will also discuss fundraising opportunities.  Anyone interested is invited to attend.  If you are unable to attend the meeting, and would like to the information, please reach out to Mrs. Brown.  Please note that there are no obligations to register or sign up for this trip, this meeting is simply to share information.  Thank you for your interest in advance!
