To recognize excellence in our youth and to promote municipal government, the HRM has an annual Citizenship Award program.
The award is presented to one grade 9 student from each school in the municipality who exemplifies the qualities of leadership and service in the school and community and maintains a commendable performance in their studies. The Citizenship Awards ceremony will take place at Halifax City Hall on May 13th from 5:15–7:30 p.m.
